From school
districts donating classroom space and educational materials
to private organizations donating equipment for children with
disabilities, community organizations provide a wide array
of services to our programs. We simply could not provide such
a high level of quality service without these partners. Head
Start service highlights the importance of collaboration between
Head Start programs and the broader community.
Public School Partnerships
- An integral part of our ongoing commitment to provide services
to children that have long-lasting, positive affects, is our
partnership with public schools. Many of our centers that
serve 4 year olds are located in public schools. Child services
and curriculums are coordinated with the school to assist
in the child's progress toward school readiness and success.
Our goals are to provide developmentally appropriate learning
experiences for all learners who participate in the program
that will develop, enhance, and enrich their understanding
of themselves and the world around them. We strive to develop
learners who are able to interact with each other in socially
acceptable ways that will ultimately enable them to contribute
in a positive way both in and out of the school setting. We
recognize the importance of parents in the educational process
and ultimately, the success of their child who is participating
in our program. Parents are invited to involve themselves
as fully as possible in their child's preparation for successful
involvement and participation in preschool.
