generally operate four days per week, 3-1/2 hours

the end of the school year and are located in the public

that significantly increases the child's chance of a positive
transition from preschool into kindergarten. Staff from

Head Start centers access to health and safety items/training

and caregiver needs.
Disabilities
Infants, toddlers, and preschool children with special
needs and their families are valuable members of our
program and communities and are honored for their diversity
and uniqueness. Providing quality services for
infants, toddlers, and preschool children with disabilities
enrolled in our programs requires a commitment to ongoing,
collaborative relationships among families, early intervention
service providers, Early Head Start, and Head Start
staff, and other community partners. Just as our
staff support and nurture relationships with children
and families, our partnership with Child Development
Services and the Center for Community Inclusion model
supportive approaches to the childs growth, as well
as the growth of their support team. Effective
teaming, ongoing reflection, and opportunities for application
of recommended practices provide the means to enhance
services to children with disabilities and their families
in an inclusionary setting. For further information
